Program:

In this workshop we will delve into the new Montessori timelines dedicated to the evolution of life and the history of humans. Based on an introduction and the presentation of the participants, we will explore in detail the first line of humans and compare it with its previous version, as well as the poster of the hominid family tree, which offers a clear vision of our evolutionary roots.

We will pay special attention to how to work with the lines with children aged 6 to 12, their connection to cosmic education, and the way they help children build a chronological and global vision of history. We will also see the relationship with the curriculum, the periodization of historical eras and the relevant stories and moments that give life to each line.

In addition, we will learn about the new second Line of Humans, learn how to complement the presentations with songs and stories, and how to adapt the material to the civilizations close to the children's environment. Finally, we will share practical guidance for obtaining, printing, and organizing all the materials needed to bring these timelines into classrooms.
